MATCH DAY 27 (MARCH 3rd 2024) REPORT.

Collycroft set up semi final clash with Frank Parker.

Wither the weather again taking its toll, Collycroft Royal Oak brushed past Drayton in the PREMIER LEAGUE CHALLENGE TROPHY. A hat trick from Alex Lock and goals for Daniel Monger, Taylor Blyth, Lucinee Donzo and Jarro Scott made sure of a 7-3 win. They will now meet Frank Parker for a place in the final. Jack Bonnel, Lewis Commins and Alex Rowe were on target for Drayton.

Ridge Lane also booked their place in the semi final as goals from Lewis Collins, Jack Edwards, Jake Warmington, Toby Bartram and Alex Naughton saw them past Ambleside. They will now face the winner of Witherley United vs Griff and Coton Manor in the other semi final. Dave Ison and 2 from Brady Middleton with the goals for Ambleside.

Conny United took their unbeaten streak to 4 games with a 6-3 win over Travs in the LEAGUE TWO CHALLENGE TROPHY. Goals from Jude Almey, Jay Boorman, Dan Faulkner, Ben Harding, Jacob Pears and Oli Menzies getting the job done and ensuring them of a trip to Saunders Hall in the quarter final. Tom Scott, Stephens Alexander and Paul Brown were on the scoresheet for Travs.

SS Bulls Head travelled to Heath Lane Academy to take on Earl Shilton Town in the LEAGUE THREE CHALLENGE TROPHY. Braces for Josh Atkinson and Lewis Alleston and a Ryan Brightwell single made sure of a 5-2 win. Dan Kent and Dylan Perry replied for Earl Shilton. SS Bulls Head will now meet Rumour Mill (Barwell) next week in the semi final.

Over on the other Heath Lane pitch, Rumour Mill (Barwell) welcomed Anchor Inn (Hartshill) in NUNEATON TROPHIES LEAGYE THREE. Danny Winterbotham came off the bench to score a hat trick in an 8-0 win for Rumour Mill with the other goals coming from Matt Vineham, Riley Poxon, Joe Randle, Olly Walker and an unfortunate own goal. The win sends Rumour Mill top of the league.
