ATHLETICO DUKE FC - EXTEND UNBEATEN RUN TO 12 GAMES.
Wykin Social went top of NDSFL PREMIER LEAGUE with a 4-0 win over struggling Griff and Coton Manor. Goals from Archie Gallagher, Reece Massey and 2 from Jes Adcock sent the Hinckley side top.

An interesting clash of 2 top sides was on offer at The Nuneaton Academy as Frank Parker took on Drayton. Kyle Crawford’s brace along with an Ethan Meadows single was not enough though as Sean Wilson, Jack Colley, Jack Bonnel and 2 from Jake Sharp scored goals to win it 5-3 to send Drayton 2nd.

Ridge Lane hadn’t seen action in 2024 and they kicked off their new year with a 2-0 win over Ambleside. Toby Bartram and Jake Warmington scoring the goals to secure 3 points.

Chetwynd Phoenix picked up their first league win of the season in NDSFL LEAGUE ONE as they saw off Bedworth Liberal 4-2 thanks to a brace from Sam Bircher. Joe Smith-Walker and Corey Cousins added the singles. Steven Bassett and Robbie Willden were on target for the Libs.

The 4th played 5th rated teams met at Paul’s Land as Hearty Goodfellow took on Coniston Tavern. Nothing could separate the two sides and the game finished in a 1-1 draw. Danny Moreton scoring for Hearty and Danny Edmond for Coniston Tavern.

Athletico Duke maintained their unbeaten run which now stands at 12 games in MARK BLAIR LEAGUE TWO. Jody Green, Jacob Townsend, Will Groocock and 2 Marley Henry goals were enough to pick up a 5-3 win over Witherley United Res. James Porter, Dean Hone and Ricky Luke scored the Witherley goals.

Swan Dive sit second on goal difference after a 7-0 over Sunnyside. A hat trick for Ashley Gilder and goals for Sushant Magar, Nathan Mcinnes, Will Crowder and Ellis Walker with the goals.

Ethan Baynham, Scott Williamson and Harvey Westwood were on hand to make sure Bedworth Ex-Servicemen took all 3 points as they beat Conny United 3-0.
Ashby Road Sports have now won 4 consecutive games to jump up the table largely thanks to the fine goal scoring form of Matt Mangiante who has found the net in all 4 of these wins. His goal along with others from Ross Waters, Craig Chatburn and Jake Hughes was enough to capture a 4-1 win over Phoenix United. Sam Eaton scored the Phoenix Reply.

Saunders Hall and Grendon finished all square. Kane Robinson scored for Saunders, Dave Tonks for Grendon as the game finished 1-1.

There was to be no shortage of goals in NUNEATON TROPHIES LEAGUE THREE this week as leaders Newdigate United hit 9 past Hearty Goodfellow Reserves. Dlaine James scored a hat trick, Tom Noon and James Lloyd both hit braces and a goal a piece for Ethan Wood and Kai Smith did the damage in a 9-2 win. Aidan Barrows scored both Hearty goals.

Hinckley Wanderers were top scorers of the day as they picked up an 11-0 win over Griff and Coton Manor Reserves. Jamie Roe and Mitch Elson scored 4 each with Bradley Ball scoring a brace. Sam Pinkerton scored the single.

Danny Winterbotham took his tally for the season to 20 as he scored twice in a 3-0 win for Rumour Mill (Barwell) over Bedworth Bank. Riley Poxon scored the other.
SS Bulls Head were back in action for the first time this year and they hit 8 past Earl Shilton Town to win 8-1. Josh Atkinson and Jarrod Stone scored 2 goals each with singles from Ashley Harris, Ryan Brightwell, Lewis Alleston and Frank Goodyear. Jack Purkiss scored the Earl Shilton consolation.

Lamb and Flag have now picked up 3 wins on the spin. George Simmons and Jude Barnett hit the target in a 2-1 win over Bedworth Liberal Reserves. Marcus Hill replied for the Bedworth side.

Attleborough Sports have found a bit of form recently as they have only lost 1 in 5. They picked up a good point over Weddington Athletic in a 1-1 draw. Steve Thomas scored the goal. Adrian Talbot scored the Weddington goal.
As we go past the halfway stage of the season, the league and charity cups are about to start.

Sunday saw the LEAGUE ONE CHALLENGE TROPHY commence as Barwell Cricketers sent last seasons League 3 Challenge Trophy winners Desford-Caterpillar packing. A hat trick from Ben Adams and a goal for Matt Pratt secured a 4-2 win. David Beckwith and Joe Neal scored for Desford.

Bermuda Park were eliminated from the BIRMINGHAM FA AMATEUR CUP on Sunday as they were beaten 3-2 by Hatton FC but they by no means went down without a fight. Starting the game with a bare 11, things were soon to get even tougher as 10 minutes in an injury forced a player off which saw them play 80 minutes with 10 men. Goals from Badru Aboubaker and Steven Pywell saw them in at half time 2-1 up but Hatton hit back in the second half and on 88 minutes, scored the goal that sent them through. Cracking effort from Bermuda Park and the 11 lads who took to the field should be very proud of the fight they put up.
