WEATHER TAKES ITS TOLL ! The weather played its part again this weekend as a hand full of games were postponed but quite a few survived.

MATCH DAY 14 (NOVEMBER 19th 2023) REPORT.

WEATHER TAKES ITS TOLL !

The weather played its part again this weekend as a hand full of games were postponed but quite a few survived. The only game to take place in the NDSFL PREMIER LEAGUE saw Collycroft Royal Oak Warriors pick up a 5-1 win vs Poplar Athletic. Sean Wills hit 2 with the others coming from Alex Locke, Daniel Cassidy and Daniel Monger. Connor Faulconbridge replied for Pop.

Hearty Goodfellow made ground on the top 3 in NDSFL LEAGUE ONE with a 5-0 win over Desford-Caterpillar. Morgan Lewis with a brace and singles from Jonni Biddle, Callum Morris and Craig Ashby with the goals securing all 3 points for Hearty.
The points were shared as the game finished 1-1 between Coniston Tavern and Ambleside Reserves. Danny Edmond scoring for Coniston but Brad Steptoe was on hand to to make sure Ambleside didn’t leave empty handed.

Only goal difference keeps Athletico Duke off the top of MARK BLAIR LEAGUE TWO as the put an end to Grendon’s unbeaten start. Braydon York and Harry Wileman scoring the goals in a 2-1 win. Ash Wilkinson scored Grendon’s goal.
Saunders Hall picked up a 3-2 win at Clarendon Park vs Phoenix United. Samuel Forster, Liam Dean and Jacob Myton with the goals. Dan Trezise scored both replies for Phoenix.

A hat-trick from Dean Hone, brace from Shaun Clark and singles from Terry Moore and Rhys Harris saw Witherley United Reserves run out 7-5 winners in a thriller against Conny United. Strikes from Dan Hendrie’s brace and goals from George Iliffe, Jacob Pears and Connor Wainwright on target for Conny.

Newdigate United put a stamp on their intentions of intent in NUNEATON TROPHIES LEAGUE THREE. Goals from Tom Noon’s brace, Cole Burchell and an own goal saw them beat 2nd place Rumour Mill (Barwell) 4-1 to leap frog to the top of the standings. Danny Winterbotham scored for Rumour Mill.

Hinckley Wanderers hit 8 past Attleborough Sports as they went 2nd in an 8-1 win. Brad Ball hit a hat-trick with the other goals coming from Dean Croasdale, Kobi Jones, Ben Storrie, Morgan De-Gol and Matt Weightman. Dan Parr scored Attleborough’s consolation.

Anchor Inn (Hartshill) picked up their first win of the season with a 2-1 win over Lamb and Flag. Mark Mulholland and Matt Phelps scoring the goals for Anchor. Jonathan Clark scored the Flag goal.

Swan Dive saw progression into the next round of the Tribune Cup after beating Travs 4-2 on penalties. The match ended 2-2 with Ash Gilder and Bryn Cove scoring for Swan Dive. Tom Croft and Freddie Wakelin hit the target for Travs.
