Well done to all involved.
In today's game Rumour Mill travelled for a difficult tie to EVINGTON FC of the LEICESTERSHIRE ALLIANCE SUNDAY LEAGUE, after last weeks postponement.

First chance fell to Rumour Mill on 15 minutes when Joe Randle struck a tame shot that didn’t trouble the keeper. With Evington putting the Mill under pressure the game swayed to and fro...

On the half hour mark The Mill broke the deadlock, Riley Poxon’s corner lands at the feet of Harry Lawrence who punts it over to Joe Randle who puts the Mill 1-0 up slightly against the run of play.

Its 2 goals in as many minutes in a similar fashion, Harry Lawrence finds Joe Randle in the box and again Joe makes no mistake. Its all RUMOR MILL now and Danny Winterbotham smashes a edge of the box free kick against a post.

EVINGTON are awarded a penalty on 40 minutes. when goal keeper Chris Marks brings down the striker, penalty dispatched to pull the score to 2-1.

Rumour Mill restore the 2 goal advantage 2 minutes later as Luke Newton switches the ball to Danny Winterbotham on the right who’s cross is met by Riley Poxon with a powerful header to make it 3-1 at the half time.

EVINGTON responded on 50minutes to make it 3-2, but this topsy turvy game sees Danny Winterbotham notch a neat header for 4-2.

EVINGTON were not out of this and a defensive error lets their winger tap the ball home.

With 10 minutes left on the clock the home keeper darts off his line to clear the ball but scuffs his kick straight to Danny Winterbotham who side foots a shot into an empty net from 30 yards.

Man of the match was centre back Jack Chamberlain .
