November Respect Report and Tables 2015-16

Spartan South Midlands Football League Respect Programme
Report November 2015 by Bob Flight

A very good month for the Respect programme with a number of clubs improving their Respect records. Dissent incidents (C2) fell for the first time this season over those of the same period last season by 4.4% a huge improvement. Sending off offences have fallen substantially and are 9% lower than those of last season, another great result. Bench incidents continue to fall over those of the same period last season and this month the fall has been an improved 38% (35.2% last month). Well done to all clubs.

Premier Division
More clubs, 60%, (59% last month) are in the good green section of the Respect table which has seen a corresponding reduction of clubs in the brown must improve section (31%). Those two clubs in the red unacceptable section (9%) must do better although both bottom clubs did show a small improvement.

Division 1
No change this month for this division with 50% of clubs now in the good green section of the Respect table. The brown and red sections have 35% and 15% respectively. Crawley Green continue their excellent performance with no Respect penalty points to the end of November. Good performances also from Ampthill Town. New Bradwell St. Peter continue to prop up the division.

Division 2
Slight fall in performance this month for this division with 58% (61.1% last month) of clubs in the good green section of the respect table.
Lower performances from those clubs in the brown and red sections who fallen to 29.4% and 11.8 respectively (27.8% and 11.1% last month). However, good performances from Amersham Town and Clean Slate. Pitstone & Ivinghoe remain rooted to the bottom of the Respect table.

Reserve Sections
This section showed a slight overall improvement in performances. Clubs in the good green section of the Respect tables remain at 53.6%. Clubs in the red unacceptable section reduced by 2 to 5 clubs.

Respect
All clubs are reminded to ensure that their general conduct is of the highest possible standard and this includes the hosting of visiting teams and officials. Also, away clubs are reminded to ensure that they leave the changing rooms in as tidy a condition as possible and do not allow their players to clean their boots in the showers! The League will support any home club should they make a charge to the visiting club for any extra cleaning of the changing rooms over and above the accepted norm.

Once again Hereward Sports are sponsoring the monthly Respect Awards of £100 worth of sporting clothing, this excludes any postage costs. The award for November goes to Ampthill Town for their improvement thus far this season.
